The Curls are Gone :*(

We took Jackson for his first haircut yesterday. I don't think that either of us wanted to have his cute curls cut off, but it was something that we had to do. Otherwise, Jackson was going to be sporting a mullet soon.

Before.....

During....

taking the first curls off

he doesn't look too happy about this

You could see a big change in his looks right away!

Jackson was so busy playing with my phone
that he hardly noticed the haircut.

he got a sucker to keep him busy. It worked. :)

After....

ready to go home.....still working on the sucker.

Snowprise!!

We got a real snow day...not just ice.

The best part about this snow day was that it was totally unexpected. Jay and Collin were so excited when they woke up to see the yard blanketed with snow.

Jay had fun trying to see how big he could make snowballs
....but it's such hard work that he had to take a break.....

Collin made snowmen, chairs, snowangels....he had a blast!

Jackson didn't like the snow one bit!!

even later on, he still had those crocodile tears.....

When Jay went next door to play with his friend and Jackson took his nap, it was time for Collin & Mommy to play. :)

We made a snowman for everyone in our family.

Collin....the artiste!

Dean (he was at work and couldn't pose with his snowman)

~ Jackson (he graciously declined getting back out in the cold white stuff)

Jackson's First Birthday

on Jackson's 1st birthday, we had a little party at home

he looks surprised at how much cake he's getting.....
.....but he really enjoyed it!

the "real" party
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
because of weather, we had to postpone Jackson's official birthday party until February 6
he enjoyed every bite of the cupcakes, especially the chocolate ones
giggling at the jack-in-the-box that he got
I cannot believe that Jackson is already one year old. The year has flown by!
Time to Catch Up
Yeah, I know, I should have posted before now. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to. I'll try to do better.
Taking a break from posing for Christmas card pictures
Jackson is enjoying the tractor that he got for Christmas. His legs will be long enough to reach the pedals one day. :)
January Happenings
Our newest family member, Cooper.
We had our first snow of the year on January 7th.
Even though we didn't get much, Collin loved every minute of it.
Jackson wasn't too sure about the whole snow thing.
Collin was the cutest ringbearer ever!
Collin had his 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
We also had a party at home on his "real birthday."
I wish that I had more pictures of Jay to put on here. He doesn't like to have his picture taken, much like his mama. :)
