Our Newest Addition

Meet Percy, our Elf on the Shelf. He watches the boys and travels back to the North Pole every night to report back to Santa Claus. Every morning, he is in a different spot in the house, and the boys compete to see who can find him first.

Here he is....out & about.....

The end of Soccer

The fall soccer season has ended. I enjoyed watching the boys play, but the hustle & bustle was a little much. Jay isn't sure that he wants to play in the spring, but Collin is looking forward to it already.

Oh, What Fun!!

I left Jackson in the den, watching Baby Einstein, just long enough to get a load of laundry in the washer. I came back to find this...

Collin had left a pack of Fun Dip on the coffee table, and Jackson took it upon himself to enjoy it all. *sigh* He was covered in blue. So, straight to the bath he went, where he enjoyed playing in blue water.

In case you've ever wondered, Fun Dip isn't the easiest thing in the world to sweep up.

Gotta love Halloween!!

We are such holiday freaks. Yeah, we know it. We wanted to do a few fun crafty things with the boys this year, besides just carving pumpkins. We kind of put things off until the last minute, because we're such procrastinators (yeah, we know that, too). Then the stomach bug pushed things back even more. So, we were finally able to finish our crafts today while we were all home recovering.

Here is our Haunted Cookie House. As you can tell, we let the boys decide how to decorate it....

We also painted pumpkins during Jackson's nap. Dean, Jay, & Collin had a really good time painting. I had fun watching.

Halloween Parade

Our neighborhood's annual Halloween parade was last weekend. The kids ride in their costumes, then play games and get goodies afterwards. Nothing too fancy, but it's lots of fun!

And look at who got his first taste of a hot dog. Thanks Daddy!!

The Halloween Party

The theme this year was Disney costumes.
Dean & I went as Peter Pan & Wendy Darling. The boys didn't have to follow the theme. So Jay was the grim reaper, and Collin was a Clone Trooper. Jackson was a bear, because Dean has
been calling him "Jackson Bear" and "Boo Bear."

Doesn't Collin look so happy to take pictures?
He didn't want to take off his mask.

Here is Jackson once he woke up.

Visiting Gran

We went to visit Dean's grandmother, Gran, over the weekend. We had such a good time. The trees were absolutely gorgeous! I wish that we'd had more time to go up to the mountains with the kids.
We didn't get as many pictures as we'd hoped, but here are a few.

These are pictures that I took while riding in the backseat, goofing off with the boys. I'm so thankful that they weren't bored out of their minds!

bugs all over the windshield....yuck!

the boys had to be goobers for the camera :)

Jackson was watching Baby Einstein...gotta love it!

our next movie

Where the Wild Things Are has always been a favorite book of mine.
Dean & I can't wait to take the boys to see the movie! Hopefully they'll be as excited as we are.

family fun

We went to the drive-in movies last night to see "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." We had the ultimate set-up in the back of the truck... chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, and lots of junk food.

All of the boys had a blast. Jackson even watched the movie until he passed out. We'll definitely be going again.

gonna give it a try

So here goes.... another project to help me with my procrastination. Either way, I think that it will be a good way for family to keep up with the kiddos. Bear with me as I try to figure this stuff out.
